Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using the website at docubay-promo.com and any services provided by Meridian Language Institute, operated by LM Education Resources Sdn Bhd, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue use of our website and services immediately.

These terms apply to all visitors, students, prospective students, and any other individuals who access or use our website and services. We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the website or services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed of any updates.

Services

Meridian Language Institute provides English language education programmes, including but not limited to General English, Intensive English, Business English, Examination Preparation, and Junior English courses. Our services also include academic advising, placement testing, progress assessments, and the issuance of certificates upon successful completion of programmes.

All programme descriptions, schedules, fees, and other details published on our website are provided for informational purposes and are subject to change. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy, we do not warrant that all information on the website is complete, current, or free from error. Meridian Language Institute reserves the right to modify programme offerings, schedules, fees, and instructional staff at any time based on operational requirements, regulatory changes, or enrolment levels.

The availability of specific programmes may vary depending on minimum enrolment numbers, instructor availability, and other factors beyond our control. In the event that a programme is cancelled or significantly altered after enrolment, we will notify affected students promptly and offer alternative arrangements or a refund in accordance with our Refund Policy.

Enrolment and Fees

Enrolment in any programme offered by Meridian Language Institute is subject to the completion of the relevant application process, submission of all required documentation, and payment of applicable fees. An offer of enrolment is at the sole discretion of the institute and may be conditional upon satisfactory placement test results, proof of prior qualifications, or other requirements as specified for each programme.

Tuition fees and other charges must be paid in full before the programme start date unless an instalment arrangement has been approved in writing by the institute. All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) unless otherwise stated. Fees are non-transferable and may not be applied to a different student or programme without prior written approval from the admissions office.

Additional charges may apply for course materials, examination fees, accommodation arrangements, airport transfers, and other ancillary services. These charges will be clearly communicated to you prior to enrolment or at the time the service is requested. Late payment of fees may result in suspension from classes, withholding of certificates, or termination of enrolment.

Cancellation and Withdrawal

Students who wish to cancel their enrolment or withdraw from a programme must submit a written request to the admissions office. The date on which the written request is received will be treated as the effective date of cancellation or withdrawal. Verbal requests or failure to attend classes do not constitute a formal withdrawal.

Refund entitlements upon cancellation or withdrawal are governed by our Refund Policy, which should be read in conjunction with these terms. We strongly recommend that all students review the refund schedule before enrolling to understand the financial implications of early withdrawal.

Meridian Language Institute reserves the right to terminate a student's enrolment in cases of serious misconduct, violation of campus policies, academic dishonesty, non-payment of fees, or breach of visa conditions. In such cases, refunds will be assessed on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the institute.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Meridian Language Institute website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, photographs, audio and video materials, course materials, software, and design elements, is the property of LM Education Resources Sdn Bhd or its licensors and is protected by Malaysian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any content from our website without our prior written consent, except for the following: you may temporarily store copies of materials in your browser cache for personal, non-commercial viewing purposes, and you may print or download one copy of a reasonable number of pages for your own personal, non-commercial use.

Course materials provided to enrolled students, including textbooks, handouts, audio recordings, video content, and online learning resources, are provided for personal educational use only. Students may not copy, share, upload, sell, or distribute course materials to any third party without the express written permission of the institute.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Meridian Language Institute, LM Education Resources Sdn Bhd, and their directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our website or services, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these terms or your use of our services shall not exceed the total amount of fees paid by you to Meridian Language Institute in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

We do not guarantee that our website will be available at all times or that it will be free from errors, viruses, or other harmful components. We are not responsible for any damage to your computer system, device, or data that results from your use of our website or from downloading any content from it.

Nothing in these terms shall limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully limited or excluded under Malaysian law.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms, including any question regarding their existence, validity, or termination, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed from the remaining terms, which shall continue in full force and effect. The failure of Meridian Language Institute to enforce any right or provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
